As Leaving Certificate Results Day approaches, we would like to remind all 6th Year students and their parents/guardians that a dedicated Helpline will be available to offer support and guidance during this important time of transition.
This helpline is staffed by professional and experienced guidance counsellors who can provide advice and support on a wide range of topics, including:
- Interpreting Leaving Certificate results
- Viewing examination scripts
- The appeals process.
- Pathways after the Leaving Cert, including:
- CAO
- Further Education and Training (FET)
- Tertiary Degrees
- Other post-secondary options
The helpline offers support to both students and parents, ensuring that clear, expert guidance is accessible to all.
New Text-Based Support Service
In recognition of the evolving ways in which students prefer to communicate, a new text-based support service will be launched this year alongside the traditional phone helpline. This will provide students and parents with more flexibility in how they seek support. Full details about the text-based service will be circulated closer to the Results Day.
Helpline Contact Information
Phone: 1800 265 165
Availability: The helpline and text-based service will open on the day the Leaving Certificate results are released and will operate during the period that follows.
We encourage all students and parents to make use of these support services should they need any advice or reassurance during this transitional period.
